WBC #12 super lightweight Prawet Singwancha (35-3-2, 21 KOs) successfully kept his WBC international 140lb title as he stopped Indonesian #6 Stevie Ongen Ferdinandus on Tuesday at Central Stadium of Loei Province, Thailand. The Thai fighter who twice challenged the WBA lightweight crown in 2007 impressively showed his performance, rapidly dropping his foe with a sharp right uppercut in round two. The action was finished in round three when the champion floored the Indonesian again with a right body-shot, forcing referee Noppharat Sricharoen to stop the bout at 1:01.

In other action, former WBA 122lb king, current WBA #6 super featherweight Somsak Sithcahtchawal (60-3-2, 44 KOs) dropped Indonesian #5 Hendrik Barongsay (reportedly 8-10-3) with his vicious body-shots in round two before he easily scored a unanimous decision in a six round non-title bout. WBC #29 fly Saenmuangloei Kokietgym (3-1-1) excitingly drew with Indonesian flyweight champion Eric Diaz Siregar (reportedly 9-8-3) to retain his WBC international 112lb title.

Both fighters mostly exchanged punches in a twelve-round heat bout. The Thai fighter seemed a little better but only a judge gave 115-113 for the champion, the others saw 114-114 and 115-115. Also, Petchyupa Por Wongworamed outpointed Petchpadaeng Sithjawee in a six round female boxing bout. This event was promoted by Kokiet Group promotion.

Anyway, the Miami Herald, The Guardian, and Wikipedia among others have been using the “crowdfunding” revenue model, so we thought we’d test it too.
