WBC#16 superfly Petchbanborn Kokietgym (16-5-1,6 KOs) easily retained his WBC Asian Continental 115lb title when he destroyed Alwi Alhabsyi (reportedly 13-19-3) on Tuesday at Bangla Stadium in Phuket, Thailand. The Thai fighter began hunting his foe as the bell rang, rapidly dropping the Indonesian with his vicious right hook. The one-side show finally ended when the champion floored his challenger twice more, forcing the referee to stop the bout at 2:14 of the opening round. Petchbanborn who captured this WBC regional belt by defeating two-time WBC champion Wandee Singwancha, kept his title for the second time.
In other action, WBA#2/IBF#7 and ABCO 105lb title holder Pigmy Kokietgym (48-6-2,21 KOs) mostly controlled the show before he scored a unanimous decision over an Indonesian whose name reported as Kid Susi. WBC#28 lightfly Saenmuangloei Kokietgym (13-3-3,3 KOs) dropped Yuli Yulianto with a tough bodyshot, then he impressively destroyed the Indonesian with a right hook in round two. Former OPBF female title holder Amara Kokietgym (8-3-1,3 KOs) won a unanimous decision over Laotian Lamnammoon Kwanjaisrikort. Also, female Namtan Kokietgym outpointed Lookkaew Tungphogym in a six round non-title bout.
