#3 Terdsak outpoints Laguna!

WBO#3/IBF#8/WBC#15 Terdsak Jandaeng (35-3-1,22 KOs) successfully kept his WBO Oriental 130lb title as he excitingly outpointed WBO Asia-Pacific#7 Roel Laguna (reportedly 9-4-2,6 KOs) on Friday at OTOP Trade Centre in Trad, Thailand. Filipino Laguno surprised the Thai crowd as he effectively denied experienced Jandaeng with his more accurate jabs punctuated by right straights, looking a little better in the first four rounds. The bout was a close affair from round five when the champion speeded his assault and landed many tough bodyshots on his contender who still displayed his effective counterpunches. The turning point was occurred in round seven as the Thai fighter landed a big left hook that dropped his foe on the canvas then he mostly attacked his opponent until round nine. From round ten, Laguno tried to turn the situation by aggressively stalking the local fighter but Jandaeng still did well and frustrated his foe with his counter attack tactic until the final round. Scored : 115-112, 115-112 and 117-110.

This was the first WBO regional title defense of the Thai fighter who had challenged for the world title twice, being stopped by Juan Manuel Marquez in 2006 and losing on points against Steven Luevano in 2008.

In other actions, WBO#2/WBC#3/WBA#6 strawweight Pigmy Muangchaiyaphum (37-5-2,17 KOs) displayed his superior skills and mostly attacked Filipino Romart Sentillas (reportedly 6-4-1,4KOs) before he impressively won a six round unanimous nod.

WBC Asia Female 112lb title holder Kanidtha Kokietgym outpointed Nangpaya Sithkruluor in a six round non-title bout. And Decha Bankluaygym drew against Filipino Romeo Jakosalem.
