WBC#5/WBO#8 superbantam Sod Kokietgym (60-2-1, 28 KOs) successfully retained his ABCO 122lb title when he stopped ABCO #6 Elmer Francisco (16-16-2, 4 KOs) on Monday at Bungnongkhai in Nongkhai Province, Thailand. The local news reported that both fighters excitingly exchanged punches during a close-affair first two rounds. But in round three, the champion impressively grabbed a victory when he landed a well-timed left hook to Filipino’s jaw, scoring a one-punch KO at 1:29.

In the other co-main event, WBO #5 minifly Paipharob Kokietgym (21-0, 16 KOs) won a unanimous decision over Filipino Roque Lauro to capture the interim ABCO light flyweight title. Paipharob, a former WBA interim 105lb titleholder, dominated all of the first half when he continuously attacked his foe, almost dropped the Filipino with a big right hook in round four. From round seven, Paipharob looked exhausted, so the show turned to Lauro who gained the scores back with his more accurate punches, but he was unfortunately deducted a point from an accidental headclash which cut Paipharob’s eyebrow in the final round. Scored : 116-111, 114-112, 114-113.

In other action, Chinese Jen Yu Jia (reportedly 2-3) scored a fifth round TKO over former PABA title holder Petchbodin Por Nobnom (9-1,6 KOs) as he landed a vicious right hook which seriously cut Thailander’s eyebrow, forcing referee to stop the bout at 1:34 of round five.

Also, Chatchai Sithsaithong outpointed Noppachai Pornobnom in a six round non-title bout.
