Argentinian welterweight prospect Luis “El Potro” Abregu (32-1, 26 KOs) scored a fifth round KO over Venezuelan Pedro Verdú (14-11-2, 11 KOs) on Saturday night in Delm in Salta, Argentina. With the win, Abregu claimed the South American welterweight title. Abregu only defeat was in 2010 against WBO world champion Timothy Bradley.
