Tonight’s pay-per-view clash in Newark, NJ is an interesting fight on many levels. Of course, former light heavyweight and cruiserweight world champion-turned heavyweight contender Tomasz Adamek has already proved that he can defeat a big hard-punching top-tier heavyweight contender in Chris Arreola, but he hasn’t been in against a Klitschko-sized super heavyweight. Against the 6’7 Michael Grant with his huge 86″ wingspan, Adamek will have that test.
For added intrigue, will Adamek avenge the crushing loss of Polish boxing icon Andrew Golota against Grant some years back? Or can Grant again break the hearts of Polish boxing fans? Adamek is widely expected to win, but how he wins and how how much trouble he has with Grant’s size will greatly illuminate what might happen when he faces a Klitschko…assuming the much larger Grant doesn’t end those dreams tonight with one huge punch.
