At today’s weigh-in, both Tomasz Adamek (215 pounds) and Kevin McBride (285 pounds) appear ready to battle during “The Last Big Hurdle” PPV event Saturday night at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ.
“I always told everybody that I will stay as a heavyweight using my biggest strength – quickness and ring movement. My weight today proves that I was serious,” said Adamek.
“I worked hard and I’m ready. There was a lot of speculation about me, that I will be over 300 pounds, this and that. Not true. I will win this fight and no matter how I pronounce or mispronounce his name, Adamek or Amadek – he will hit the deck. No more than six rounds for him” – said the flamboyant McBride in a TV interview with Polish television network Polsat.
