IBF Bantamweight Champion Joseph “King Kong” Agbeko (27-1, 22 KOs) not only promises a victory, Oct. 31 at the Treasure Island Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, but a knockout over challenger, No. 1 Contender Yonnhy “El Columbiano” Perez (19-0, 17 KOs). “He is going to have his first loss,” Agbeko told the media today on a national teleconference. “I am going to be the first one to knock him out.”
Perez, who is coming off an impressive last-round knockout of Silence Mabuza, would not give a specific prediction to counter Agbeko’s claims, but countered by saying, “He should not spit too much into the air, for it might fall on his face.” Stay tuned for a full story tomorrow.
