Alexander targets Bradley

Newly crowned WBC/IBF junior welterweight champion Devon Alexander “The Great” (20-0, 13 KOs) wants the world to know that he is willing to fight WBO junior welterweight champion Tim Bradley (25-0, 11 KOs) right now. “We want the best fights out there, period. We agree that Devon Alexander and Tim Bradley are the best junior welterweights in the world,” Alexander’s trainer Kevin Cunningham stated. “There is no reason they shouldn’t fight each other. Tim Bradley is fighting some no name in a tune up for his HBO debut in June. Team Alexander doesn’t need a tune up. Tim Bradley can be our tune up!” Alexander will be returning to the ring in June after recently capturing the IBF version of the title with a devastating eighth round knock out of Juan Urango.

    Help Support®

For 18 years,® has delivered daily boxing news to fight fans around the globe. From the beginning, we have always kept Fightnews free to our readers and relied on advertiser support. Anyway, the Miami Herald, The Guardian, and Wikipedia among others have been using the “crowdfunding” revenue model, so we thought we’d test it too.

Please consider helping out. You’re not obligated to, but even a $1 pledge would really help. And if we reach our goal, we plan to upgrade our server and maybe even nuke the ads altogether. Wouldn’t that be nice?
