Promoter Joe DeGuardia of Star Boxing returned Saturday night to the Paramount Theater in Huntington, Long Island, New York with his “Rockin Fights” series. In the main event, hometown favorite Chris Algieri (13-0, 6 KOs) hammered out a lopsided eight round unanimous decision over Curtis Smith (10-6, 5 KOs) in a junior welterweight contest. Scores were 78-74, 80-72, 80-72.
