Algieri signs contract to fight Pacquiao

By Flattop

WBO jr welterweight world champion Chris Algieri today signed the contract for his showdown with WBO welterweight champion and boxing superstar Manny Pacquiao to take place November 22 in Macao, China. Algieri will have a payday upwards of $1 million and his 140lb title will not be on the line.

“I am pleased that I have been able to provide this opportunity for Chris,” Algieri’s longtime promoter Joe DeGuardia told Fightnews.com. “It’s rewarding when you see the fruits of your labor come to fruition. I want to thank the Paramount which has been home to his fights and fans over the years. The ‘Rockin Fights’ series at the Paramount has showed that you can develop a fighter from the club shows into a world champion!”
