Ali Ndiaye stops Di Luisa to win EU title

OPI 2000 Italian-Senegal Mouhamed Ali Ndiaye (21-1, 12 KOs) won the vacant European Union super middleweight title against Andrea Di Luisa (12-1, 11 KOs) last Friday night in Pontedera, Italy. In most probably the “Italian Fight of the Year” Ndiaye stop a brave Andrea Di Luisa in the twelfth and final round. It was a heated fight with the two warriors exchanging blows for the entire fight with four knockdowns (all suffered by Di Luisa).

On the undercard, former European champion and world title challenger Gianluca Branco (45-3-1, 23 KOs) won by TKO in the six and final round against journeyman Janos Petrovics. Next for Branco is a shot at the European welterweight crown against the champion Leonard Bundu. OPI 2000 (Salvatore and Christian Cherchi) promoted the show with SPORTITALIA televising it live.
