Australian cruiserweight champion Daniel Ammann (19-4-1, 4 KOs) will clash with Oscar Siale (12-6, 4 KOs) of New Zealand over ten rounds at the Newcastle Basketball Stadium in New South Wales, Australia on Friday. Ammann is coming off a ten round points decision loss to former world rated heavyweight Shane Cameron in 2010 and lost in two rounds to world rated Alexander Alexeev in Germany in 2009. Sial was featured in one of the best Australian fights for 2010 when he dropped a close twelve round points decision to Dominic Vea in a nationally Foxtel televised Commonwealth cruiserweight title bout. In the main support, classy 154 pounder Tui Leveni (10-2-1, 6 KOs) will be in action over six rounds against Aswin Cbuy (11-17-1, 4 KOs) of Indonesia. Leveni had given WBO and WBA rated Ryan Waters the fight of his life on the undercard of Danny Green vs. Roy Jones, Jr., in a six round contest that was declared a draw. Promoter and matchmaker: Peter Hallett.
