Anderson headlines Friday in Newark

Hard punching Newark welterweight Michael “Slick” Anderson (12-1-1, 10 KOs) headlines Friday night at the luxurious Robert Treat Hotel in Newark, New Jersey when he swaps punches with Mexico’s Sammy Ventura (27-23, 21 KOs) in the ten round main event of the evening for the USCB regional welterweight title. The co-feature will feature super featherweight Joselito Collado in an eight round contest.

Anderson of Newark, New Jersey, has explosive power in both hands as shown with ten knockouts in his twelve victories. In his last bout on October 13th, Anderson needed only two minutes and thirty three seconds to stop gritty fifty fight veteran Miguel Angel Munguia.

Standing in his way will be the battle tested veteran Ventura (27-23, 21 KOs) of Cardenas, Tabasco, Mexico. Ventura’s resume includes former world champion Marco Antonio Barrera, Ricardo Castillo and Jason Litzau. With 21 knockouts in his 27 victories. In his last bout Ventura scored a fourth round knockout of Jesus Casares.

In the eight round co-feature of the evening super featherweight Joselito Collado (13-2, 3KOs) looks to bounce back from just the second loss of his professional when he takes on the always dangerous opponent to be determined.

Matchmaker Renee Aiken and All Out Promotions in association with Global Boxing Promotions have also put together an undercard with six-rounders featuring undefeated super middleweight Derek “Take it to the Bank” Webster (13-0, 7 KOs) against Emmanuel Sanchez (4-1, 1KO), super bantamweight prospect Raul Lopez (8-1-1, 4 KOs) vs. TBA, and a clash between local heavyweights Tyyab Beale (7-3-1, 3 KOs) and Aaron “The Animal” Kinch (4-0, 1 KO).

In four-rounders, highly decorated former amateur Antoine Douglas (2-0, 2 KOs) swaps punches with Rogelio Saldana (1-3, 1 KO) in super middleweight action, cruiserweight Maurice Amaro (1-5) will battle it out with Marlin Washington (0-1) and debuting featherweight Pete Reyes squares off against Oscar Pagan (0-1).

Also performing will be nationally known recording artists, Driicky Graham, “Mr Snapbacks and tattoos” and his special guests R&B Singer J’s of Neyos compound ent. Phantom Boys.

The national anthem will be performed by Interscope recording artist Ashan.
