Exciting junior middleweight contender Alfredo “El Perro” Angulo (20-2, 17 JKOs) will return to the ring on November 10 against Raul Casarez (19-2, 9 KOs) in a twelve round junior middleweight battle at STAPLES Center in Los Angeles. The bout will be on a card headlined by WBC super bantamweight world champion Abner Mares against WBA bantamweight super world champion Anselmo Moreno. Also on the card is IBF bantamweight world champion Leo “Terremoto” Santa Cruz, who will defend against TBA.
It will be Angulo’s first fight in the USA in over two years. Earlier this year he spent eight months locked away in an El Centro immigration detention facility during which time his attorneys resolved immigration issues that kept him from fighting. In his last outing in November of 2011 in Cancun, Angulo battled fellow contender James Kirkland in an all out war that was a 2011 Fight of the Year candidate.
