Super welterweight fan favorite Alfredo “El Perro” Angulo (20-2, 17 KOs) and new trainer Virgil Hunter appeared at a press conference Tuesday in Los Angeles at the ESPN Zone L.A. LIVE. After being sidelined all year with visa issues, Angulo will next take on Raul Casarez in a 12-rounder on Golden Boy’s big November 10th show at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. He was previously trained by Hall of Famer Ignacio “Nacho” Beristain. Hunter is best known for training Andre Ward and it was just announced that he will also train Amir Khan.
“It’s very exciting to have my comeback fight in my second home of Los Angeles,” said Angulo. “I have been working really hard to give the fans a good show like they are used to because I am here thanks to their support. ‘El Perro’ is back!”
