Apolinario-Vasquez ends in draw

In an action packed bou,t WBA #3 contender John Mark “Iceman” Apolinario (17-2-1 4 KOs) of Sarangani, Philippines and former world champion and WBA #2 contender Roberto “La Araña” Vasquez (32-5, 22 KOs) of Panama City, Panama, fought to a twelve round draw in a clash for the vacant WBA interim bantamweight belt. Judge Uriel Aguilera had it 115-113 for Vazquez while judges Jesus Cova and Gustavo Estrella had it 114-114. The bout took place in La Unión Club of the city of Colón, in Entre Ríos, Argentina. The event was the promtional debut of world middleweight champion Sergio “Maravilla” Martínez of Maravilla Box.
