It’s probably happening too late in their careers, but for the three-time world champion Jorge “Travieso” Arce and Martin “Gallito” Castillo it’s a fight that they both have always wanted and one that will finally happen this Saturday night at the Palenque de la Feria in Nayarit, Tepic, Mexico. “I know that people are saying that we are not the fighters we used to be, but you know, this is a fight we always wanted and one that will be remembered for a long time. Our styles are made for each other and we both bleed like crazy, it should be a fun night for everyone, except us,” said Arce.

Also on the card will be Alberto “Topo” Rosas going for a world championship against the last guy to beat Arce, Simphiwe Nongqayi.

“I wanted to fight before them so I could see the championship fight from the front row. I think the fact that we are the main event speaks for itself. I think that our fight will be very entertaining,” said Arce.

Both fights will be televised in the United States on Top Rank Live, the very popular boxing show on Fox Sports en Español.

“This fight is good for me and since Arce has maintained his place in the world ranking and won a world title this year puts me in the mix at 118 pounds. It’s a fight I felt I could always win and I still feel that way,” said Castillo.

They are both former world champions with something to prove and the fans in Tepic are sure to get a treat when Arce and Castillo go to war on Saturday night.
