Press Conference Quotes
Jorge Arce, 53-6-1, 40 KOs:
“There are seven Mexican champions including me who have won 3 world titles. I want to be the first Mexican to win 4 world titles. This will not make me the greatest Mexican champion – I am not on the same level as Chavez, Morales or Barrera – but it will be history. Actually it will be unbelievable history. I want to win this title so bad. Morel has speed but a great body attack will take that away. It’s Mexico vs Puerto Rico, my kind of a fight.”
Eric Morel, 42-2, 21 KOs:
“I have fought 44 fights and in 40 of those I have taken on fighters like Arce who like to come in, pressure me and attack. That is great for me because I always deal with it. Arce is a nice guy who talks big but he’s not going to take my belt. Inside he knows it too. I have too much speed and movement for him. I know all about Arce – what he can do and what he cannot do. And there is a lot he cannot do.”
