Arroyo headed to Mexico to face Marquez

Undefeated super flyweight McJoe Arroyo (14-0, 7 KOs) will travel to Mexico today, where this Saturday he’ll face former world champion Hernan “Tyson” Marquez (37-4, 26 KOs) in an IBF 115lb elimination bout that will take place at the Arena Jorge Cuesy in Tuxtla Gutierrez, Chiapas, Mexico. Arroyo will be accompanied by his manager Orlando Piñero, trainer Anthony Otero, also trainer Alex Caraballo and PRBBP Vice-President Peter Rivera. The Arroyo-Marquez clash will be for the IBF #2 ranking. Arroyo is currently ranked #10 and Marquez is ranked #9 by the IBF. The IBF world title is vacant.

In the main event, multi-time former world champion Jorge “Travieso” Arce (63-7-2, 48 KOs) will face Jorge “Baby Face” Lacierva (41-9-6, 27 KOs) at featherweight in a ten-rounder, and in the other co-main bout, Alejandro “Payasito” Hernandez (27-10-2, 15 KOs) and Daniel “Bad Boy” Rosas (17-1-1, 11 KOs) meet for the WBO interim bantamweight belt.
