Former heavyweight WBC champion Oliver “Atomic Bull” McCall (56-12, 37 KOs) will test the skills and chin of young, 26-year-old undefeated Polish heavyweight Krzysztof Zimnoch (14-0, 11 KOs) on May 18 in Legionowo, near Warsaw. Zimnoch, whose biggest amateur success was defeating Deontay Wilder during World Championship is considered as one of the new wave of Polish heavyweights, but McCall was not impressed. “I fought the best, and I’m not talking ancient history here. Francisco Pianeta, who will fight against Wladimir Klitschko, survived the tenth round only because referee did not let me finish him off. And I had only eight days to prepare for him – now I have five weeks to get ready for Zimnoch. What do you think can happen?” The fight card in Poland will be a family affair – on the undercard of Zimnoch-McCall, the 22-year-old son of the former champ, heavyweight Elijah McCall (11-2, 10 KO), will present his skills.
