Vicente to face Avila

Up and coming featherweight Jenifel Vicente (17-0-2, 11 KOs), popular for his non-stop punching style, will be crossing swords with grizzled, dynamite-fisted veteran Hector Julio Avila (47-4, 42 KOs) on September 18 at the Carlos Teo Cruz Coliseum in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. A classic matchup of youth vs. experience. Both men have predicted victories and Dominican fans are also split in antagonistic camps as to who will emerge the victor. The card will also showcase some of the best talents the island has to offer, namely middleweight Juan Ubaldo Cabrera (18-0), welterweight Melvin Betancourt (18-0) and former amateur stars, featherweight Juan Carlos Payano, super middleweight Gilbert Castillo and lightweight Claudio Marrero.
