A few days before his big showdown with Robert “The Ghost” Guerrero, welterweight Selcuk Aydin has warned people not to be surprised when he beats the hometown favorite on Saturday night in San Jose, California. “Many see me as a longshot in the fight against Guerrero. I’ve read that it would be a big surprise if I should win on Saturday. But that’s only because people don’t know who I am and what I can do. I’m Selcuk Aydin. I’m the world champion. I’m certainly no underdog. And that I win on Saturday shouldn’t surprise anyone!” Aydin has complained several times in recent weeks that the American media doesn’t pay enough attention to him. “After Saturday, everyone will know who Selcuk Aydin is!” he stated.
