Bailey-Alexander deal close

Discussions are ongoing, but as of now no deal has been finalized for newly-minted IBF welterweight champion Randall Bailey to make his first defense against former world champion Devon Alexander. According to a source close to the negotiations, Golden Boy has offered $500,000 but Team Bailey will only agree if the bout takes place outside Alexander’s home state of Missouri. September 8 is the proposed date with the bout being televised on Showtime.
