Bantamweight contenders collide

The popular series of “Boxeo TELEMUNDO” returns on April 30 to the Miccosukee Resort and Gaming in Miami, Florida with a explosive main event. Former world title challenger and new idol in Miami, William “Chirizo” Gonzalez will face Jose Luis “Tapitas” Araiza in a bout scheduled for 12 rounds with Gonzalez’ WBO Latin bantamweight title at stake. Gonzalez is ranked #8 WBA #8 WB0 and #11 WBC, is 28 years old and brings a record of 24-3, 20 KOs. Araiza on the other hand is the former WBA FEDCENTRO titlist, currently ranked #15 WBO, is 31 years old and brings an excellent record of 31-1, 22 KOs.

The undercard will be announced shortly. A total of 8 fights are scheduled with the first bell at 8:30 PM. The event is being promoted by Tuto Zabala, Jr.and All Star Boxing, Inc. “The New Generation”. The main event will be televised live at 11:35 PM by the Telemundo Network on HD.
