Vitor Belfort capped off a highly anticipated return to the Octagon, knocking out former UFC middleweight champion Rich Franklin with strikes at 3:02 in the first round. After a slow start, Belfort found his range, dropping Franklin with his trademark left hand, which immediately buckled Franklin. Without a second thought, Belfort pounced, putting Franklin out with a series of unanswered shots to the head.

Junior Dos Santos put on a textbook performance that was capped off with an anticlimactic victory over living legend Mirko Cro Cop. A Dos Santos punch appeared to blind the Croatian, who told the referee he was unable to see in the third and final round.

In what will be remembered as a firefight, Paul Daley overwhelmed Martin Kampmann, defeating the Danish fighter at 2:31 in the first with strikes.

It took Josh Koscheck just 1:25 to ruin Frank Trigg’s UFC return, stopping the veteran with strikes in the first round.

In the opening bout on the main card, Tyson Griffin silenced his critics, besting former lightweight number one contender Hermes Franca by knockout at 3:26 of the second round.

Ultimate Fighter winner Efrain Escudero defeated Cole Miller with a string of big punches at 3:36 in the first round.

Tomasz Drwal used a rear naked choke to beat Drew McFedries in the second round.

A shoulder injury caused a premature end to the bout between Steve Lopez and Jim Miller. Lopez appeared to blow out his shoulder in the second frame, causing the referee to stop the bout.

UFC newcomer Nick Lentz topped Rafaello Oliveira with a hard fought unanimous decision.

Rick “The Horror” Story used an arm triangle from the guard position to choke out Brian Foster at 1:09 in the opening frame.

Ultimate Fighter alum Eliot “The Fire” Marshal needed a split decision to get past Jason Brilz.

In a highly anticipated undercard bout, Vladimir Matyushenko defeated Igor Pokrajac via unanimous decision. All three judges scored the bout 30-27.

Rafael dos Anjos punished Rob Emerson en route to a unanimous decision victory in the opening contest of the night.
