Boxing returns to Coliseo Bernardo Caraballo in Cartegena, Colombia tomorrow night, when former world champion Alejandro Berrio (32-5, 29 KOs) meets fellow Colombian banger and former 3-time world title challenger Fulgencio Zuniga (24-5-1, 29 KOs) in a ten round light heavyweight bout. Berrio won the vacant title in a return bout with Robert Steiglitz on March 3, 2007, stopping the formerly unbeaten Steiglitz in the third round. He lost the title in his next bout, getting stopped in Canada by Lucian Bute in eleven rounds. Barrio has won his last six fights, four by knockout. This bout will be Zuniga’s first since dropping a unanimous decision to Tavoris Cloud in an attempt to lift Cloud’s IBF light heavyweight title back on December 17, 2010. Zuniga twice challenged for the world super middleweight title, losing to Denis Inkin in 2008 and Lucian Bute in 2009.
