The winner of the 2008 contender series and IBF#4 super middleweight Sakio Bika is confident that IBO middleweight champion Daniel Geale (21-0, 13 KOs) will defeat former WBA super middleweight champion Anthony Mundine (35-3, 23 KOs) when they clash at Brisbane Entertainment Centre, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia on May 27. Bika said, “I have been sparring Daniel Geale at the Grange Gym and I am confident if he takes what he has been doing in the gym against me into the ring on May 27 – he will defeat Mundine. Geale has great boxing skills and Mundine has not looked good in his recent fights in middleweight division against Crazy Kim, Rafael Pinosa and Shannan Taylor. Kim dropped Mundine in their 2008 bout.” Geale’s trainer Graham Shaw added, “Daniel had very good preparation with excellent sparring against Sakio Bika, and WBA #9 Daniel Edouard of Florida, USA. Robert Medley also gave Daniel good sparring.” Officials for the IBO title bout are Australian Garry Dean, who will be the referee, and judges Marcus McDonnell of England, Richard Green of the USA and Derek Millham of Australia. IBO supervisor Phil Austin.
