Bopp retains world titles; Sosa remains unbeaten

Yessica Bopp (20-0, 9KOs) of Argentina retained her WBA/WBO light flyweight titles with a hard fought unanimous decision victory over former world champion Anabel Ortiz (10-3, 2 KOs) of Mexico. Bopp scored a knockdown of Ortiz in round 4 and scored more accurately of the two by far for the rest of the fight. 100-90, 99-90, 97-92 were the official judges scorecards.

The even took place at the Estadio F.A.B., Buenos Aires, Distrito Federal, Argentina with Osvaldo Rivero (O.R. Promotions).

In the 8 round co-feature highly world ranked Roberto Sosa (23-0, 14 KOs) of Argentina kept his undefeated record in tact with an explosive 5th round TKO over Javier Armando Rodriguez 12-8, 11 KOs) of Mexico. A hard overhad right that connected behind the ear sent Rodriguez down. He beat the count but was in no condition to continue and the referee waved the bout off. Sosa is world ranked by the WBA, WBO, and IBF at 115 pounds.
