On Saturday in Piove di Sacco, Padova, Italy, Devis Boschiero (31-1-1, 15 KOs) was crowned the new European super featherweight champion by unanimous decision (117-111, 116-112, 116-113) after a great fight with brave defending champion Ermano Fegatilli (25-5, 5 KOs). Now Boschiero, as recommended in the WBC convention in Las Vegas last December, wants a deserved rematch with WBC 130lb champion Takahiro Aoh.
On the undercard European lightweight official challenger, WBC #9 and WBA #13 Luca “Black Mamba” Giacon (20-0, 18 KOs) stopped durable Jevgenijs Kirillovs on a cut in round four and welterweight Antonio Moscatiello decisioned Konstantins Sakara in six rounds.
Sportitalia 2 televised the show live in Italy. OPI 2000 (Salvatore and Christian Cherchi) promoted it.
