Heavyweight Frans Botha has confirmed that he did take a pre-fight urine test, but denied ingesting banned substances. “Why would I go and do this crazy stuff? To go drink something that makes you sleepy, that you can’t open your eyes, that lowers your blood pressure. What the hell is that?” Botha said on New Zealand’s leading current affairs program “Campbell Live.” Botha also pointed out that the drug test was administered and handled by a family member of Williams’ manager Khoder Nasser. Nasser denied any tampering stating “The pathology company is a very reputable pathology company in Australia,” and challenged Botha to have another test done in South Africa.
