Boxcino Tournament Results

ESPN2’s “Boxcino 2014” tournament resumed on Friday night at Harrah’s Horseshoe Casino in Hammond, Indiana, with the quarterfinals of middleweight portion of the competition.

Willie Monroe Jr. (16-1, 6 KOs) outpointed Donatas Bondas (18-5-1, 6 KOs) over six rounds. Bondas pressed the action, but Monroe got the nod by scores of 58-56, 59-55, 59-55.

Unbeaten Vitalii Kopylenko (22-0, 12 KOs) scored a second round TKO over Cerresso Fort (17-3-1, 11 KOs). Kopylenko dropped Fort in round two and the bout was waved off moments later. Time was :43.

Raymond Gatica (14-2, 8 KOs) stopped previously unbeaten Sena Agbeko (15-1,15 KOs) in round four. Gattica staggered Agbeko in round three, but seemed to punch himself out. A rejuvenated Gattica came out with a barrage of punches in round four to get the stoppage. Time was 1:06.

Brandon Adams (13-0, 9 KOs) scored a fifth round TKO over Daniel Edouard (23-5-2, 14 KOs) when Edouard chose not to continue at the beginning of round five. Adams dropped Edouard with a left hook in round four.
