Boxeo Telemundo’s Summer Series was the #1 boxing program on Spanish-language television for total viewers
Telemundo Media’s broadcast of the “Boxeo Telemundo” summer series ranked #1 among major Spanish-language networks averaging 342,000 total viewers, according to Nielsen. “Boxeo Telemundo” delivered 23 percent more total viewers than Unimas’ “Solo Boxeo”, surpassed TV Azteca’s “Boxeo Azteca” by 155 percent and Fox Deportes’ “Golden Boy Mexico” by 418 percent. “Boxeo Telemundo” obtained its highest audience of the year compared to its spring series, with its fall series yet to come starting in September.
Boxeo Telemundo’s highest rated telecast during the summer series was registered on June 28 as Vicente “El Loco” Mosquera defeated Cosme Rivera in Kissimmee, Florida, averaging nearly half a million total viewers (476,000 P2+) and 243,000 among adults 18-49. Boxeo Telemundo, the oldest running boxing show in U.S. Spanish-language television, featured a total of four fights during its summer series between June 21 and July 12. Rene Giraldo and Jessi Losada called the action from Mexico City, Kissimmee and Tampa, interacting with fans on social media throughout the season.
