Boxing back at Miccosukee

The popular boxing series “Boxeo TELEMUNDO” will return to the Miccosukee Resort and Gaming in Miami, Florida on February 19. In the main event, former world title challenger William “Chirizo” Gonzalez (23-3, 20 KOs) will face Jesus “Taquero” Vazquez (19-3-1, 17 KOs) in a bout scheduled for twelve rounds with the vacant WBO Latin bantamweight title at stake. The 28-year-old Gonzalez is ranked WBA #9, WBO #12 and IBF #13. Vazquez is a former WBC Continental Americas beltholder. Also, former WBA world champion Clarence “Bones” Adams (44-6-4, 20 KOs) takes on veteran Edel “Cuate” Ruiz (33-22-4, 24 KOs) with the vacant WBA NABA featherweight title on the line.

Also in action in separate bouts, undefeated prospects such as 2004 Cuban Olympian Luis Franco, Xavier “X-Factor” Burgos, atrick Teixeira and Jose Torres will see action. There will be a total of eight fights scheduled with the first bell at 8:30 PM.

The event is being promoted by Tuto Zabala, Jr.and All Star Boxing, Inc. “The New Generation”. The Adams-Ruiz bout is in association with Sampson Boxing. The main event will be televised live at 11:35 PM by the Telemundo Network on HD.
