Boxing back in Albany, NY

Ares Promotions presents its inaugural fight card showcasing local talent on Saturday at the Washington Avenue Armory in Albany, NY. In the main event, unbeaten NYS and WBF lightweight beltholder Brian Miller (8-0-3, 3 KOs) will be defending his WBF title against Floriano Pagliara (10-4, 6 KOs) in an eight-round bout. Also fighting is Rafael Luna (4-4-1, 1 KO) who will compete against Luis Rodriguez (5-3-1, 1 KO)in a NYS lightweight title eliminator fight.

Local favorite light heavyweight Shawn Miller will battle it out four rounds against Keith Debow. Also Kimdo Bethel (4-0, 3KOs), U.S. 2008 Olympic team alternate, will fight Alexis Mejias. Female welterweight Sarah Kuhn will fight in her pro debut against Natoya Ervin.

The night will also feature a performance by local singer/songwriter Danielle Gaudin in a tribute to 9/11.

Tickets and VIP tables, including dinner by Maggie’s Sports Bar and table service, are available from the Armory (518) 512-5203. Tickets are also available at ticketmaster.com. Doors open to the public at 6 p.m. First bout begins at 7 p.m.
