Boxing back in downtown Greensboro

On Saturday night Walter Johnson Promotions in conjunction with B. Hairston will bring boxing back to downtown Greensboro, NC for the first time in 10 years. They will host a nine bout professional card at the Marriott Southern Crescent Ballroom. The card will feature (14-2) former Russian amateur champion Anatoliy Dudchenko taking on veteran Tiwon Taylor, (30-20, 22 KOs) in a 10 round light heavyweight UNBC International Championship bout. The card will also feature local lightweight prospect Richard Rivers (8-0, 3 KOs) taking on Sean Lockhart of Charleston, SC for the UNBC Carolina’s title.

Heavyweight Prospect Josh Tufte (5-0, 4 KOs) will be fighting a six round bout against Maurice Winslow (5-7, 3 KOs) of Atlanta, GA. Also (13-4, 5 KOs) Jamie “Shotgun” Winchester will take on journeyman Kevin Carter in a jr. middleweight bout.

The card will also showcase three fighters managed by former five time world champion Zab Judah. The fighters include undefeated Cruiserweight Joel Shojgreen who will take on Kenneth Farr, undefeated heavyweight Andy Josephs against Frank Edmondson and light heavyweight David Sparks.

Also rounding out the card will be undefeated heavyweight John Nofire (5-0, 5 KOs) taking on Jonathon Felton who is managed by former world heavyweight champions Riddick Bowe and undefeated welterweight Cecil McCalla (14-0) of Baltimore, MD taking on upset artist Andre Baker (15-18, 4 KOs) of Lumberton, NC.
