Boxing back in Greensboro, NC

Walter Johnson and B. Hairston Promotions returns live professional boxing to Greensboro, NC on May 4. The card will take place at the FantaCity International Community Ballroom located at 4925 West Market Street. The main event features former NABF cruiserweight champion Daniel Judah (23-9, 9 KOs), who is also the brother of superstar Zab Judah, taking on tough and ready Tiwon Taylor (31-19, 22 KOs). The feature bouts feature Greensboro’s own lightweight Richard Rivers (8-0, 4 KOs) taking on veteran Shawn Lockhart (10-10, 3 KOs). The other feature bout pits undefeated welterweight Cecil McCalla (14-0, 7 KOs) against Ike Ezeji (14-7).

The undercard portion of the card features heavyweight Elijah McCall, who is the son of former heavyweight champion Oliver McCall. Also heavyweight John Nofire puts his undefeated record on the line against 20-fight veteran Jonathan Felton. Greensboro native Steve Matthews 1-0 returns to the ring against durable Winston-Salem native Kevin Carter. Rounding out the card will be Thomas McEachin of WInston Salem and Dominic DeSanto of Charlotte. The card will also be highlighted by a female bout between Lisa Garland and DJ Morrison.
