Boxing returns to the Majestic Theatre in downtown Detroit on Friday, July 17. Hometown undefeated light heavyweight Isiah Thomas will be facing Mario Stansley in a featured match. Thomas (3-0, 3 KOs) signed a promotional contract with Lou DiBella just last month and this will be his first contest under the direction of DiBella Entertainment. Promoter Carlos Llinas informed that he also represents Thomas and that he and DiBella will be working closely together to advance Thomas’ career. The main event for promoters Carlos Llinas International Productions (CLIP) and Ron Remus Productions pits Brian “The Lion” Mihtar (10-1, 9 KOs) vs Jeffrey Osborne (8-13-2, 3 KOs) in a scheduled 5 rounder. Detroit favorites Ali Mansour, Willie Fortune and Roscoe Hill are also on the show. Tickets are $30-$50 and can be purchased at Ticketmaster.
