World champion Brian ‘The Hawaiian Punch’ Viloria of Waipahu, Hawaii is returning home for a Victory Parade there Saturday. The parade begins at 3 pm at Waipahu District Park and afterwards Brian will meet with fans in autograph session.

WBC super featherweight world champion Humberto Soto travelled to Mexico City on Wednesday and was presented by WBC President Jose Sulaiman with his official green and gold WBC world championship belt. Soto won the title in December and has made two successful title defenses. Soto was present at the ceremony with his manager Antonio Lozada and promoter Fernando Beltran.

After the recent swine flu scare, boxing in Mexico is back to normal and there will be heavy activity in May and June.

Kelly Pavlik was tentatively scheduled to collide against Sergio Mora on June 27th at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, NJ, however an ongoing staph infection on Pavlik’s hand failed to clear up and the fight has scratched (Edgar Gonzalez)
