Middleweight contender “Ireland’s” John Duddy ((26-1, 17 KOs) will return to the ring on October 10th on Top Rank’s October 10th “Latin Fury 12″ card at the WaMu Theatre at Madison Square Garden. Duddy will face Michi Munoz (21-3, 14 KOs) of Topeka, Kansas. It will be Duddy’s comeback fight following his shock loss to Billy Lyell in April.

The proposed December 5 clash between middleweight champion Kelly Pavlik and Paul Williams in Atlantic City is still pending Pavlik’s recovery from an nagging injury to the middle knuckle in his left hand. “The Ghost” must undergo further examinations before a green light is given.

Ricardo Mayorga has filed a lawsuit against long time promoter Don King Productions alleging that DKP failed provide the contractually stipulated number of fights for him. Mayorga did pull out of a major fight DKP had arranged for him against Alfredo Angulo in February on short notice.
