With WBC heavyweight champ Vitali Klitschko tied up with two WBC mandatories, IBF/WBO/IBO champ Wladimir Klitschko may end up facing David Haye instead of Chris Arreola. The bout would be more appropriate anyway, as it was Wlad’s severed head in Haye’s doctored photo that got the Klitschko camp riled up to begin with.

Ricky Hatton’s lawyer Gareth Williams is headed to Dubai, but says the trip is to discuss possible future Hatton fights there and that Las Vegas remains “the most likely venue” for Pacquiao-Hatton.

Former figure skater/boxer Tonya Harding, now 38, will see action on January 24 card in Detroit.

Following his unsuccessful title shot against WBC super lightweight champ Timothy Bradley, Edner “Cherry Bomb” Cherry (24-6, 12 KOs) will be returning to the lightweight division. Cherry doesn’t have anything firm lined up yet, but will see action in early 2009.
