It has been confirmed that WBC featherweight champion Elio Rojas has suffered a shoulder injury forcing him to pull out of his September 11 title unification bout with WBA featherweight king Yuriorkis Gamboa. Gamboa may now fight a unification bout against IBF champ Orlando Salido.

Antonio Margarito has filed an application with California State Athletic Commission to have his boxing license reinstated. Top Rank has asked the state to expedite their decision to clear up Margarito’s status on selecting a venue for his November 13 fight against Manny Pacquiao.
