This Saturday, May 30th, the UVI Sports and Fitness Center in sunny St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands will host its third boxing card in four months as 340 Promotions presents Boxing In Paradise III. Headlining his second show since the inaugural promotion back in January will be WBA #9 Victor Cayo of the Dominican Republic in a defense of his WBA Fedecaribe Super Lightweight title against Mexican Arturo Morua. The pugilists that most in attendance will be pining to see are the two sons of local legend Julian “The Hawk” Jackson: John and Julius Jackson. Both boys represented the USVI in Beijing last September at the 2008 Olympics. Turning pro on the January show, they will each be gunning for their third straight win. Rounding out the card will be Jackson nephew Samuel Rogers, JV “The Fighting Doctor” Tuazon of The Philippines and Dominican Javier Fortuna. Promoter Sampson Lewkowicz is brimming with excitement about the third installment of the “Paradise” series. “The fans are continuing to show great support for their fighters. Not only for the Jackson boys, but with such a large Dominican population here in the USVI, Cayo is drawing the crowds as well!” The show will open with several amateur bouts at 5:30 p.m., followed by the pro portion of the card at 8:00 p.m. 340 Promotions is presenting Boxing In Paradise III in association with Warriors Boxing.
