Boxing returns in Greensboro!

On Saturday July 25, 2009 the Greensboro Coliseum and Walter Johnson Promotions team up to bring ‘Double Impact’ an event that brings Professional Boxing back to Greensboro, North Carolina.
Headlining the card will be Former NBC Contender Star and current WBC America’s junior middleweight champion Jimmy Lange (30-3, 21 KOs) taking on Jimmy LaBlanc (16-16, 7 KOs) in a 8 Round bout. In the co-feature Shakir Ashanti (16-8, 6 KOs) takes on Alejandro Quiroga (11-5, 2 KOs) in an 8 round bout for the UBC America’s middleweight championship.

The card will also feature some good local and regional talent. Local favorite and heavyweight contender John Haggler (19-3, 15 K’s) returns to the ring against journeyman Matt Green in a 8 round bout. Also on the card will be junior welterweight Bayan Jargal (12-0, 8 KOs) taking on the crafty 50 fight veteran Alex Perez. Additionally, welterweight up and comer Brian Hairston (1-0, 1 KOs) takes on tough Ronnie Glover. Rounding out the card is amateur sensation Richard Rivers who makes his long awaited pro debut.

Tickets for the event are $500, $400, $300 for VIP Tables for 8, $65, $50, $40 VIP, $25 Ringside, $15 General Admission. Tickets can be purchased at the Greensboro Coliseum Box office or through Ticket Master or by calling (336)254-4700 for VIP ticket purchases.
