Boxing returns to Las Vegas, N.M.

The August 28th card, “Perseverance,” promoted by Fresquez Productions and the City of Las Vegas, N.M., is a go. In the main event, Holly Holm (24-1-3, 7 KOs) will defend her WIBA welterweight title, most likely against Terri Blair (11-13-2, 6 KOs), of Louisville, Ky. The card, to take place at Highlands University, will be officially announced tomorrow at a press conference in Vegas.

In the co-main event, former contender Frankie Archuleta (25-7-1, 14 KOs), of Las Vegas, will go eight rounds at jr. lightweight with Las Cruces’ Lorenzo Estrada (3-14-1, 1 KO). Archuleta is coming off back-to-back kayo losses in a comeback attempt while Estrada is coming off a decision loss in Denver to Manuel Perez.

In a special six-rounder, between southpaw jr. middles, Joseph “The Assassin” Brady (13-6-1, 6 KOs) will attempt a comeback against Rio Rancho’s Lucas “The Ghost” Galle (5-4).

In four-rounders, Las Vegas hopefuls Arturo Crespin (2-1, 1 KO) and sister Amanda Crespin will be featured. Arturo will seek a win after losing in his last outing while Amanda will stage her pro debut.
