Boxing returns to Verona, NY

Boxing returns to the Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona, New York on Friday, February 26, after a four-year hiatus. In the main event, unbeaten Isaac Rodriguez (16-0, 13 KOs), of Belem, Brazil will face former “Contender” participant Brian Vera (16-3, 10 KOs), of Austin, Texas in a ten round middleweight bout. In the co-feature, Brian Miller (6-0, 2 KOs), of Schenectady, New York will meet Jose Guzman (5-6-1), of Bronx, New York in an eight round lightweight bout. Stars-R-Out Productions is promoting the 7-bout card.

Promoter Dave Escalet stated, “This is an ESPN-quality show, only it’s not on ESPN. You have to come watch it live. There are no ‘gimmes’ here. Everyone has to fight. Turning Stone is committed to bringing boxing back.”

Other bouts:

Broderick Antoine (9-8-1, 4 KOs), of Troy, NY takes on Norberto Frias (8-6-1, 2 KOs), of Corona, NY in a six round junior middleweight bout.

Red-hot female star Amanda Serrano (4-0-1, 3 KOs), of Brooklyn, NY will meet Lucia Larcinese (4-4), of Montreal, Canada in a six round featherweight contest.

Markus Williams (3-1, 1 KO), of Schenectady, NY takes on Rondu Campbell (2-3-1), of Brooklyn, NY in a four round super middleweight bout.

Mike Faragon (9-0, 3 KOs), of Syracuse, NY will take on an opponent to be named in a six round lightweight bout.

Reggie Scott, of Albany, NY is scheduled to make his pro debut in a four round light heavyweight bout against an opponent to be named.
