Updating two neighboring Northern California cards, Mexican veteran Cosme Rivera (35-14-3, 24 KOs) will be the 10-round main event opponent for Japanese welterweight prospect Yoshihiro Kamegai (21-0, 18 KOs) when professional boxing makes a long-awaited return to Sacramento’s historic Memorial Auditorium on Oct. 6. The Fox Sports Network is telecasting.
Also, in this Saturday night’s show at the Woodland Community & Senior Center, John Alberto Molina (32-19-3, 20 KOs) of Colombia is the choice to oppose super-bantamweight Manuel Avila (9-0, 3 KOs) of nearby Fairfield in the eight-round main event, to be telecast by TeleFutura.
