Briggs begins another comeback

Usually when former heavyweight champion announces he is making a comeback, fans assume the worst. But such is the current state of the heavyweight division that most fans are already predicting a world title fight for former WBO heavyweight champion Shannon “The Cannon” Briggs (48-5-1, 42 KOs). Or perhaps it’s because Briggs has proven his critics wrong so many times in the past that it’s just safer not to bet against him. His comeback begins this Tuesday when he faces the Cuban brawler Rafael Pedro (20-8-1, 14 KOs) at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida. (More)
