Fight fans who have access to British Eurosport are in luck, as the TV network will carry live coverage of the Wladimir Klitschko-Alex Leapai fight on April 26th. David Kerr, managing director of British Eurosport said moments ago that “It’s fantastic to be broadcasting this high profile world heavyweight title clash in the classic Saturday night slot.” Most people feel 38-year-old Klitschko, 61-3(51) and the holder of the Ring Magazine, WBA, IBF, IBO and WBO heavyweight titles, will be too much for the 30-4-3(24) Samoan. Still, 34-year-old Leapai can punch and he earned his shot by upsetting Denis Boytsov back in November of last year. Leapai is a huge underdog, yet he believes in his power and feels he has the stuff to cause an even bigger upset.
RTL will televise the fight in Germany. As of yet, no U.S. TV outlet has announced live coverage of the world heavyweight championship fight, so like in the recent Golovkin-Adama fight, Americans could be on the outside looking in.
