In attendance were PR Best Boxing President Ivan Rivera,Ricardo Figueroa (representing Lou DiBella), former world welterweight champions Kermit “Killer” Cintron and Carlos “El Indio” Quintana (26-2, 20 KOs). Also in attendance was Puerto Rican natives and unbeaten prospects José “Chelo” González (7-0, 4 KOs) of PR Best Boxing and Joel “Joelo” Torres (11-0-1, 7 KOs) of DiBella Entertainment who will both fight in seperate bouts on the card.

Ivan Rivera (PR Best Boxing President)- “Were very content to be doing our first promotion with Lou DiBella’s DiBella Entertaintment. Were hoping to do more promotions with them as well featuring Cintron, Quintana, and prospects from both of our promotions.”

Ricardo Figueroa-(written statement from DiBella) “Were very proud to begin our first promotion with PR Best Boxing and are expecting an outstanding event October 24th,” said DiBella in a written statement.

In the main event former welterweight world champion Cintron will take on Juliano Ramos (15-2, 12 KOs) of Brazil. The bout is scheduled for 10 rounds and fought at the welterweight limit. Cintron shocked many with his upset of highly touted and then unbeaten contender Alfredo Angulo in his last bout this past May which was a WBC light middleweight title eliminator and will now drop back down to welterweight against Ramos. Cintron was born in Carolina, Puerto Rico where he lived until he was a teenager at which point he moved to Pennsylvania and have never fought in Puerto Rico as a professional.

Kermit Cintron- “Finally the time has come for me to fight in my native Puerto Rico. I’ve been training very hard for this fight and I’ll deliver a spectactular performance come October 24th.”

Quintana will take on former world title challenger and fellow Puerto Rican Jesse Feliciano (15-7-3, 9 KOs) in a 10 round junior middleweight bout. Quintana pulled of a monumental upset of then unbeaten WBO welterweight champion Paul “The Punisher” Williams in 2008. Feliciano ironically was defeated by Cintron in his only world title opporunity. He also has pulled off some upset victories of his own over former world champion Vince Phillips and former world title challengers Alfonso Gomez and Delvin Rodriguez.

Carlos Quintana- “It’s always a priviledge for me to fight in my homeland of Puerto Rico. I’m very focused and preparing myself well to give my fellow Puerto Ricans an excellent performance.”
